The Outcome of Amniocentesis at 14 Weeks of Gestation
ثبت نشده
چکیده
Method: This was a retrospective study of the pregnancy outcome of 299 women who underwent invasive prenatal diagnosis by using amniocentesis at 14 weeks of gestation, amniocentesis at ≥15 weeks of gestation and chorionic villous sampling. We compared the pregnancy outcomes and the complications in the 3 groups by using the Pearson’s χ2 test or the Fisher’s exact test. Results: There was no significant difference between the women who underwent amniocentesis at 14 weeks of gestation and those who underwent amniocentesis at ≥ 15 weeks of gestation or chorionic villous sampling in terms of failed cultures, miscarriage, preterm pre-labour, rupture of membranes, preterm delivery and neonatal respiratory complications (p > 0.05).

Background: To evaluate the association of increased fetal nuchal translucency( NT) and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Materials and Methods: In a prospective study, 2221 women who were conceived after Assisted Conception were investigated by sonography independent of multiplicity between 11 and 13 weeks' gestation. We performed 2899 NT examinations during the study period(21 March 2010 to 21...

OBJECTIVE To investigate whether amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling increase the risk of postural deformities, limb reduction defects, respiratory problems in the newborn, fetal and infant mortality, prematurity, low birthweight and fetal distress, and to investigate the impact of gestational length at the time of the procedure. DESIGN A population-based cohort study. SETTING Swede...
متن کاملLate first-trimester invasive prenatal diagnosis: results of an international randomized trial.
OBJECTIVE To assess, in a randomized trial, the safety and accuracy of amniocentesis and transabdominal chorionic villus sampling (CVS) performed at 11-14 weeks of gestation, given that this time frame is increasingly relevant to early trisomy screening. METHODS We compared amniocentesis with CVS from 77 to 104 days of gestation in a randomized trial in a predominantly advanced maternal age p...

The indications and results of cytogenetic analysis of 521 amniotic cell cultures performed at 13-16 weeks of gestation were evaluated in this study. 507 fetuses (97.3%) were cytogenetically normal, 14 (2.7%) had unbalanced karyotypes, and 2 fetuses were found to have major abnormalities, one with anencephaly detected by measurement of alpha -fetoprotein levels in amniotic fluid and ultraso...
